Saw This On Shopgoodwill.
I saw this on the Goodwill site, and have no interest in it. However some of our more svelte member might want this:

Size 2??? Has a kilt ever been sized this way? I'm thinking it's a skirt. It's also pretty short even for a thirty inch waist.

It's paired with a sporran and garters, so it may well be a men's kilt. I would definitely inquire about the measurements, as I doubt that they were taken properly by Goodwill.

I've seen them sized that way on eBay, but it seems that's usually for a tartan skirt.

Looking at the sporran, it may well be made for a youth.

I think it might be short because it has a hem.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

I would be willing to bet that you are right, and the actual measurement is closer to a 30" waist. Rather too late to message the location selling it at this point.

Picture shows 2 pleats under the apron and strap buckles can move??
Third look and I'm not so sure.. Hmm
Poking around Lochcarron's sites and can find no size 2 or ladies kilts. 2 May be an old venture into a dead ladies pant sizing idea.

Perhaps I will take a cue from @Nathan and buy it for the material to make a waistcoat.
