Update: I did wear socks, to the games

It was hot, at the games, but I was comfy. I did wear socks/flashes, with comfy shoes (low top hiking shoes). You're gonna laugh when I tell you what kind of socks I wore: Football socks, from the sporting goods store. I will buy proper kilt hose at some point. But they'll be cotton, instead of wool. Here are a couple of photos of me at the gathering/games: Scot games, car.jpg Scot games, Mereda.jpg

Is that a Morgan 3 wheeler in the picture? I love those.

And yes, lots of folks wear soccer socks as kilt socks. I bought a pair to try, but they were just too thin for me. And I'm in Georgia, maybe not as hot as AZ, but it's not as brisk as Scotland!

If 5.11 keeps up its "yearly tradition," they will offer their excellent Tactical Duty Kilt, again, next month.

Solid colour or camo ripstop fabric, lots of pockets, inexpensive, 'LOVE them.

A simple brown leather sporran will take you many places during warm day weather. Also watch for Stillwater Kits having their nylon "Nightstalker" utility sporran in the near future.
