Had your tie been an M C Escher (like the waterfall print behind you) the straightforward look would be dynamic. Maybe a bit much for a business meeting though.
Consider a tie tack with a chain instead of tucking the tie into your kilt, especially if you leave your jacket open.

While a tucked tie seems an unusual look, I would say that it is not unusual or incorrect. I have seen probably a dozen images of chaps in highland attire wearing their tie as such. Without digging through too many of my files, here is one example

Tucking one's tie into a waistband is a good method of control. I feel a tie tack does that job with a touch of pizzazz. The photo Isaac posted shows both a tie clasp and a waistband tucked tie (that gentleman's choice). I don't find a tucked tie incorrect or unnecessary at times. I just like jewelry that also performs utility in function and style.

Sorry, I can't agree with tucking one's tie into either a kilt or your trousers. Better to tie it the proper length and use a tie clip or tack.

And here's my military Mackenzie Seaforth pleated to the white stripe (sorry for the fuzzy photo). The front apron is centred on the red stripe but I can't lay my hands on that picture at the moment.
