Many kilted Americans favour big vaguely historical-looking pouchlike sporrans, of a sort that never existed in Scotland AFAIK. Whenever I visit a distant Highland Games (in West Virginia, North Carolina, Atlanta, etc) I encounter them, made by local makers. Who knows how many such makers there are.
That sort would fill your bill, I think.
