ditto, If the breed has a downy coat under the top coat, the downy coat sheds 24/365.
Since the dog and the kilts are staying, I usually wear colors that blend with or at least compliment the fur color.
At least the fur doesn't plug up the vacuum cleaner bag reducing suction - just fills it. 
I suck the couch every time a do the floors too. Bathing and wooling my Avatar just creates a fur storm in the house for the next 48 hours.
