Have someone check the pulse of anyone not giving a compliment. Looking dapper my friend.

Most kind of you to say so Sir - the Royal Stewart is one of the most recognised tartans I think

Very smart, Simon. I have a very casual Royal Stewart acrylic, which is relegated to working outside jobs only as my wife does not like the tartan. No idea why, she just says she doesn't (like it).

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Royal Stewart
Thats a shame she doesn't like it, but some people don't like too much red in the tartan

I have a Royal Stewart kilt also, but have not worn a red shirt with it. Thought it might be to much red but after seeing your post a red shirt is on my to buy list. Looking good!

It does look smart, your grey/red outfit there.
My wife doesn't care for red tartans in general. She prefers things like Isle of Skye, Flower Of Scotland, and pretty much any blue/green tartan especially when done in Ancient or Weathered colours.
BTW I have a Royal Stewart kilt, but I wear mine with khaki
These military-style kilts are made to have the point seen in my photo be the centre-line.

Yeah - I wasn't sure either until I tried it, but it does work very well I think
