Old Noob with question on X-Large Hose

I defer this question to Alan or other (thick in the leg, heavy athletes). Many of our members have "tree trunk calves" and may know the answer. I speculate they have purchased over sized hose, then shrink fit them to fit their bodies.

Since you are not over-run with answers, I'll submit one. Were it my problem, I'd try the hot wash/dry method. My wife has mistakenly done that to a pair of my hose and it did reduce the size. Whether this would be sufficient, you would have to try it and find out.
