Our seats are in Block A, although I don't know how much time I will spend there.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Great day at Braemar, warm enough for t shirt most of the day, a little heavy mist later but that stopped for the queen. Heavy events where great to watch Scott Rider hit some great event records. We stayed sat down for most of the events so didnt get round to A. .....Large amount of foreigners at this games, probably because of the queen. Took some pictures i will put up once i have had a chance to edit them. Blairgowrie comp tomorrow and forecast is good. I will be wearing my MacGregor Tartan. Wore Lamont at Braemar

Yes it was a good day. the "heavy mist" as the commentator described it, did pause briefly for the Queen's arrival but became progressively heavier later and everyone got quite wet, but still it was enjoyable. I'll put up some pictures later too, when I get a chance to look at them. Could not see much of the heavy events from our seats, but had good views of the dancing, high and long jumps, but we did see the cabers going over, which makes a change from Ashbourne, where they don't usually manage it.

We where close enough to the heavies to see most of it, then they dropped the nets for the queens arrival, we saw the Cabers then left as i wanted to dry out my kit for the games the day after, both day where great in the morning and got progressively heavier rain/mist later in the day, The queen timed it perfectly as it let up for her arrival. we met some interesting people there too.
