Seems it might be Arrochar tweed - then fashioned into the differing styles of jacket

The Braemar cuffs like those found on a Prince Charlie would lend the name Braemar to this jacket style which is made from Marton Mills woven Arrochar Tweed fabric. The full name of this fabric is Arrochar/Charcoal ARR001. it is a 17oz Thornproof plain weave.

You have to be careful, though, because different makers use those names differently.

I used to work at a Highland Outfitter who carried House Of Edgar jackets, and in our shop we followed the terminology House Of Edgar uses.

The "Argyll" jacket has plain cuffs, as you would find on an ordinary suit.

The "Crail" jacket has slash cuffs (one of the old military cuff styles, seen also on Prince Charlies).

The "Braemar" jacket has gauntlet cuffs (another old military cuff style, seen also on "Regulation doublets")

    Here.

I just follow about 99% of the world who use this naming convention -

So while it is true that not everyone uses this convention, there are only about four jacket manufacturers in the UK, and the largest of them use this convention. This would be the most commonly found naming.

Jackets which carry labels with the following names all use this convention. Lochcarron of Scotland, Lochcarron of Canada, Burnett's & Struth, Gaelic Themes, Gaelic Tailoring, St. Kilda Scotland (Not St. Kilda USA!) Wales Tartan Center/Wales Tartan Rental, Kinnard, Celtic Corner, Alexis Malcom, BuyaKilt, MacGregor & MacDuff, KiltStore, House of Labran, Your Kilt Store, R.G. Hardie, Henderson Group, Claymore.
