Terry, I am new to kilting (just the few years I have been active with this forum) but find with the wearing of my kilts in everyday circumstances, has helped me converse with the more experienced (even life long) kilted brethren at XMarks. I have enjoyed that every member brings the unique prospective of their environment, culture, customs and history to the group for us to compare (and glean from) for trials-errors of our own.
I have found that I have become an ambassador to the uneducated in all matters concerning kilted people.
