A former Clan Douglas stronghold, in need of some tender loving care.

Part of the reason that many Historic houses were demolished post WW2 through to the Mid 1960s was that Death Duties hit 80%. In order to save any part of the estate, houses were demolished, as they were valued at a huge amount, but there were no buyers due to the tax.
