As the groom, you should have the right to determine your own wedding garments, and hopefully your bride will allow this or it is perhaps an indication of things to come. Just my humble opinion. I have never agreed with the the notion tha the bride and her mother get to call all of the shots. After marriage is a partnership, and should start out that way. Now I do wonder why you should wish to be wed in a kilt if you do not have Scottish roots, and perhaps this is what your bride to be is taking issue with.
