Yesterday I recieved an email message from the mayors office in Hoffman Estates IL, last year several of the Chicago rabble and I attended, and must have made an impression because they want to try and host a kilt contest and needed ideas, I agreed to help them out with some ideas, my suggestion was to hold a knobby knees contest because everyone can get in on the fun, and then perhaps a best dressed THCD, and modern kilt contest. I need suggestions on fleshing this out. Lastly, I'm calling on all the Chicago rabble to turn out for the free event, hopefully enter a contest, and have a good time!

I am in! Even without a competition, we rocked it last year. Let's do this.

How about ladies tartan contest? Or non-kilted contest like a haggis toss? Who would be the judges for the kilt contests? Would we pick a random panel or go by audience applause? Edit: Going to need an MC, too.

I'm very much not a fan of kilt contests, but I do plan to be there. I love that event--especially the music--and hope to actually meet the Mayor of HE this year...
