PM me when you get settled in. I'd love to meet up with you for dinner or something.
Great to have a chance to finally meet you Tobus. We have conversed before on the board for a couple years although my recent absence may have gone unnoticed. PM sent.

Will be looking forward to it Shaun. Will most definitely try to be there.
Now just have to find a new kilt for my now 9 year old Boy who has grown out of his child's kilt from a few years ago.

I remember sitting and talking with you for quite a while Deil, and I feel certain that I still have the photos of the SM games that year that have you more than prominently displayed. When I locate them I will forward or post. Thanks for your kind greeting.

I am sorry to leave Louisville, John, and yours and Sandy's friendship kept me going at times. If you are even in the area let me know--we have beds and there is plenty of stuff to do. Would love to see you.

Thanks to all for your kind words of welcome and encouragement. Wife and Boy and I are starting to settle in but still have a lot of unpacking to do, and life is rearranging itself around us. Happier to be closer to the daily activities of life, but will miss the bike rides and drives through the horse country farms. Will miss the old friends but hope to make new ones as good or better. And I will definitely be a happier clam at my new job than I was at my two most recent prior ones. We may get back for Derby and Oaks one day and will keep touch with our Louisville friends. But more importantly looking forward to new and exciting friends and activities locally here in San Antonio.
I already found the local "Tilted Kilt" although have not partaken of its fare as yet.

Thanks, Jeff. Travel's not in the budget any time soon, but I'll keep you in mind if I ever do get a chance.
Likewise, if you're ever back up this way and in need of overnight accommodations (like for Oaks/Derby), I have a spare room as well.
John

I think that I should warn you golfing types in Texas, that Scotland's golfers and courses have only just recovered from Jeff's golfing trip to Scotland a few years ago. There he was striding down some hallowed turf on one of the Worlds most prestigious golf courses, clad in the kilt -----and flat cap------blissfully unaware that he had completely ruined the Club Secretary's breakfast and day, week and probably year by causing the poor fellow apoplexy at the sight and thought of Jeff and his attire at the first tee. Apparently wearing the Scottish kilt----and flat cap, playing on a Scottish golf course ---a famous one don't forget----and playing the Scottish game of golf was not in THE club rules. Anyway, the whole committee were immediately summoned from far and wide to remonstrate with the bounder and escort him firmly off the premises and then the long suffering, over-worked and poorly paid ground staff spent the next year re-turfing Jeff's footsteps and therefore attempting to erase the poor secretaries memory of the horrendous event, causing the Masters Championship to be held somewhere in England! Oh yes and make no mistake here, golf courses and their assorted management the world over will have heard of Jeff and his golfing attire.
Just saying.
