Does anyone have a line on the Carolina tartan? Even better, does anyone know if there is a kilt maker that has it?
It isn't available as a stock fabric. I am considering doing a custom run of it in muted colors. I believe at one time there was interest in Peter MacDonald sourcing a run in Wilsons of Bannockburn's colors.

As davidlpope said, a number of the good folks here have expressed a strong interest in the Carolina Tartan and as I understand it, Mr. MacDonald has been working up a run in Wilson's of Bannockburn colors--or colours if you prefer. I'm sure he will chime in shortly and I, for my part, am eagerly awaiting the result.

This has been on the back burner for a while as there wasn't a concensus on which version, Wilsons' or more muted, people preferred. I'm happy to look at this again but would want guaranteed orders before organising a special run as I can't afford to hold this material.

Ah well, that’s completely understandable. Although I’m ready to commit to enough material for an 8 yard and a waistcoat, there maybe a little less than sufficient enthusiasm for this particular project among the rest of ‘the rabble”. That’s a little disappointing, because it’s such an attractive sett and so very appropriate for me. Maybe at a later date.

I'm definitely interested in at least enough for a 5yd. Honestly I don't know what the difference of the two hours, I've only seen the tartan once but fell in love. Unfortunately though being a cop I have to save up for this sort of bug purchase so I'd def need advanced notice. Then to find a kilt maker after that'd do it
