I have a three piece purple tweed kilt suit, but I've never been brave enough to actually wear it as a suit, only as separates. I do very much like the tweed kilt though. Ironically being a solid colour it feels more subdued than my tartan kilts, which is not something I thought I would ever say about purple tweed. The fabric is Cheviot Rave by Marton Mills, this is the most accurate representation of the colour I could find:
