The background to the tartan' s design in on the STA's website. There are in fact as number of tartans associated with the Bard.
Jock, you'll note the ommission of 'national' in the comment above 😊. I'm more of a Duncan Ban MacKenzie man myself, Or Sorley MacLean, a fantastic bard of the modern era.

As my friend Bert in Cupar says, "Burns is probably an acquired taste." I don't get excited over his stuff much either.

As a lowlander, it is doubtful that Burns ever donned a kilt, however we all do once a year to celebrate him!

Ouch!!!
If I wasn't a lowlander I might take offence, but as I am I just enjoy the somewhat terse replies Scots are renowned for.

Reason: Deletion.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Can we get back to the topic?
I'm sorry I posted the photo, perhaps I will try to mix other tartans making sure one is a district tartan or perhaps mix another tartan with the Scottish Wildcat Tartan. Can we get back to the topic at hand?
