Sunday had huge crowds as it was a brilliant sunny day and many had stayed away on Saturday due the rain. The first visitor was Madadh with his Irish Wolf Hound, Deernock.

So I am all ready to go to the games last weekend. Thursday evening broke out all the gear, checked things over, steamed out the kilt, ready to go. Friday, early Friday morning I got severe side pains, rushed to hospital. Diagnosed with three kidney stones lodged on the top of the kidney causing blockage. Saturday morning, surgery, put in stint, discharge late Saturday. Sunday morning, dawned the Kilt and went to the games, problem was, I got very fatigued, was like the walking wounded. Met Mike from Scotia Arms, stopped by the Clan Donald and St. Andrews of DC, but could only stay a few hours, as everything caught up with me and I was exhausted. So left after only four hours. Sorry I could not catch up with everyone, I did make a very valiant attempt, and was dress in my Jacobite gear....RICHMOND is coming up and plan to attend there, provided I have no more medical emergencies. I have to go back in two weeks were they will try to break up the stones with ultrasonic waves...hope it works, still getting dull pain, and seems like I have to run to the head every 30 minutes...will get through this too. BUT I WENT....and enjoyed it, no regrets.

Sorry to learn of your health issues last weekend, Allan but glad that you were able to make the games on Sunday for a few hours. Hopefully you will be A-1 come October and be able to enjoy the Central Virginia Celtic Festival.
