    dunedin scottish wear

sorry for doing another post like this! as you all may have gathered, i'm looking into buying a new (semi) formal kilt and i'm kind of freaking out. haha, i hope you all understand. anyway, i looked at macleods, whom i heard are lovely, but they are sooo expensive (over $360 american), so i began to look elsewhere. scottishkilts.net are cheap and i've heard are pretty good, but the aprons looked kind of janky. but then my father tells me that dunedinscottish.com, a company in florida, was recommended by someone from our clan chapter. does anyone know *anything* about this dunedin place? they look pretty nice, and for $300. thanks again for humoring me, i really appreciate it.

Seamus, do you have any connection with Sportkilts? I received an email from them this week. (What can I say, I needed a kilt quickly for the Potomac Celtic frestival) and it was signed Seamus.

    Hi Seamus,

The president of my clan chapter recommended them to me as well. Like you, I am freaking out too about purchasing my first formal kilt. So many suppliers to choose from, then you have to choose the supplier of the tartan in many cases...

I was told the quality from Dunedin was good and that they have good customer service.

    Wish I knew more...

I recently bought a Hillwalker kilt from Clan Malcomb http://www.alexismalcolmkilts.bigstep.com/ it was less than the $300 you are looking at and a very nice kilt.
I don't know how she is now, but in September Alexis was backed up with dilvery.
