New project coming in the mail...first tartain kilt build...
I scored four yards of double Royal width Stewart from GK yesterday....15 bucks a yard for 12 oz....not going to argue with that...although I would prefer 16...
This will be the first kilt I willhave made in tartan, although the last one (which, sadly, was ruined in a party accident) anyway...it was a simple.plaid suiting and made a neat kilt,
but all the rest have been camo prints or plan cloth utility kilts.
I am looking forward to the challenge of making a 'real' kilt, and am already noodling through the possibilities of how I want it pleated amd how much yardage will go into it.
Realistically my narrow frame will probably only eat up about six yards...and I doubt stuffing all eight into a kilt made of fabric that light will bring good results...
Of course....If I am going to have a proper kilt....nowwww....I need everything else..uh oh.
