    I have tried my best to recreate that same knot, from studying that same picture. I think I got close! But the garters are knit, makes the knot too big for a good look.
    The only picture I could find, not high enough resolution for a close-up.
    I guess I should try for a better pic for this thread!

    Hilarious....Douglas and I met today.....because of this thread....I was telling my girlfriend about his Jacobite Highland wear....then saw the knot...."hey....umm...I need to ask you about that knot..."
