Never been to this, although we live not far away in Maryland. My wife is Clan Davidson, and I see they are taking part, although she is handicapped and could not be persuaded to march in a parade.Nor does she wear kilts.

We are both actually English, and I am of Irish descent, Clan Callaghan of course. I own all kinds of kilts, although my warmest (relevant at this time of year) is Irish Saffron. Perhaps we might turn out to watch, or maybe just I might turn out.

Lately, I've been marching with my Jacobite living history group, the Appin Regiment of 1745. However, this year I've a command performance to attend at my grandson's 3rd birthday party in Fredericksburg - I'll miss seeing all y'all!
I remember the "Scotland Yard" restaurant and had some good meals there. They had a three-course menu (several selections in each course) for a fixed price. I remember that the Scotch eggs were particularly good. The maître 'd (a Scottish gentleman whose name I forget) sat kilted on a chair outside the restaurant entrance and welcomed diners. He once told me that he was once a music promoter in the UK whose firm once turned down the Beatles when they were just a local Liverpool band.
I hope that all XMarkers that are able to attend Alexandria's Scottish Walk have a great time! I'll be there with you in spirit.
You will be missed, I have talked to you several times, last time we met was at the Virginia Games....Cheers, enjoy your grandson, time goes by very fast.

I will be leading Davidson this year. We probably won't be a very large group, but very fun. You are most welcome in whatever kilt or even (shudder) trousers. (big grin)

Clan MacCallum Malcolm has been assigned to the 400 block of S. Pitt St. gathering time 0830-1000.

Unfortunately their notification to me as the Group leader of CMMS from the Parade Chairs only gave my location and not all the units.

Check-in is located at the corner of Wilkes and South Saint Asaph Streets on the grounds of Lyles Crouch Elementary School.
