    Anticipating St. Andrew’s Day

On this Christ the King Sunday, we anticipated the Feast of St. Andrew, patron saint of Scotland and first-called by Jesus.

Several members of Church of the Holy Apostles, the Episcopal Church in the Oneida Indian Reservation, also wore their national dress or tribal regalia this morning.

Truly, they were good sports on “Fr. Patience has a new kilt Sunday.”

Excellent! I think it is a great thing to see everyone participate by wearing clothes that show different traditions but all coming together as one community.

I plan on being kilted in church this coming Sunday!

Everyone looks great. I like that your flock are wearing their national dress, too.

I've got my Chinese tailor working up her rendition of an Argyll jacket for me to wear with my kilt as I teach English on St. Andrew's Day here in Beijing.

    Andrew
