Since I am kilted daily, nothing really out of the ordinary. Yet I usually go formal in the kilt wear while attending parties.

Very sharp look! I have been caroling in my kilt at the Bembridge House in Long Beach, CA. It's a historic home here built in the Queen Anne style. They host a "Victorian Christmas" event and my choir carols for the nighttime and weekend tours during the Christmas season.

Really looks good. I wouldn't have thought of the combination, but it really works well. I also enjoy swing dancing, but usually wear a suit rather than a kilt. I'll bet the "swish" of the kilt really amplifies the style of your moves.

Hoping to go to a ceilidh with my wife next week, but as my eldest daughter's first child is due today and it is currently snowing, all bets are off for what may happen next week.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Last night I attended my work holiday party wearing my Lindsay modern 5yd, burgundy long sleeves, claret flashes, green lovat hose and jacket, ox blood loafers, and Barnabas, my handcrafted badger sporran.Click image for larger version.

    Cool Christmas Party Vesture

I have a retirees' luncheon on schedule for tomorrow (12/14) and will wear my
Black Watch kilt, red kilt hose w/Black Watch flashes, red oxford cloth dress shirt and bottle green Glengarry with holly/mistletoe behind the cap rosette.

I could not help myself the other day and bought a Macdonald tartan kilt (recent find in the family history) so I plan on wearing it instead to the dance. will post pic when it comes in and the dance itself if I don't get to carried away and forget
I drink coffee and pretend to know what I am doing.

We usually get together with my wife's temple (Jewish) at a Chinese restaurant and I wear my PC and Leatherneck tartan. America IS a melting pot.
