Triumph
My first car was a used ‘78 1500 in Inca Yellow. Fantastic, fun car! Enjoy! You cannot beat having a convertible.

Kilted Fridays... yes please.
I usually start first Friday in May as the weather in these parts is often not kind to the practice. Started early this year as grand weather ensued.
Current place of employment encourages it.
Also -- had a blast reading through this thread. Great way to get to 'know' the lot of you.

Having owned a chrome bumpered MGB, & been about assorted Spit's, Lotus, & Jensen's, I am aware of the various ways to remove oneself from said beasties. My question for Mael Coluim is, "How does one extricate onself while kilted?" Without shocking, thrilling, or embarrassing anyone.....particularly, myself. Reason, 'She' has been suggesting us getting another project / runabout.

hasn't really been a problem. Get both feet on the ground (door acts as a privacy shield) and stand up. Good luck with the search in acquiring your next LBSC keeping happy she who must be obeyed!

Thank you. I never considered exiting via cover of door. Usually, it's darkness....I know, bad joke.
I've looked at several, non rusted, possibilities. 1975 Spit's are, relatively, inexpensive in kit-ish form. A 'B' offers memories of a midnight run, in labour, to the hospital. The funniest sight....A woman, in labour, trying to get (down) into a low slung beastie. With the soon-to-be Father asking, "Do you need me to take the top down to give you more room......since you can't figure out how bend & get in?" If it wasn't for the fact that God (it doesn't matter whose) didn't want me at that point, I would have been struck dead, by her tongue.

Tongue lashings are tough to endure, but it's the LOOK that kills.

True. I had one, unknown at the time, ally. At the 'LOOK' moment, the soon to be born, decided to unleash a mega contraction / labour pain. 2.5 miles to the hospital.......pain / contraction duration, 2 miles. The door grab handle was never the same.

Have you watched how SWMBO does it? Sit in the seat and swing the legs in. Pretty much the reverse to exit. Source? 35+ years of wedded bliss and over the years- Sunbeam Tiger, SAAB Sonett and currently a RX7.

No.....she, usually wanted me to see if anyone, else, was looking. Obviously, the 'B' was low slung. The autocrossed Camaro was lower, & had long doors. Tells you what my, almost 36 years, has been like.
Back to subject.......moving Friday, & going to dinner, kilted!
