This past Saturday at the Bethabara Highland Games, I had wee drams of Old Pulteney 12, Caol Ila, and Auchentoshan. Yum!

The Redhead was quite taken by the Pulteney you shared with us at Loch Norman, Allen. But I've yet to find it.

Birthday Drams
Like my Grandfather I celebrate my birthday twice a year....My actual birthdate is Feb 12th but the weather here isn't kind enough to celebrate my birthday heartily, so I celebrate it again towards the end of April when the weather is better and I can take my wife and her sisters and husbands away to Victoria BC for an all expense paid weekend...... I've got some pretty kind relations and this year their generosity showed
This one from my daughter and my wife. It's a lovely port cask finished whisky and one of my favourites

This one from my sister-in-laws and their husbands
This one from a dear friend who I have known almost all my life
As you can see they all have been tasted quiet handily, & my thought is, what is the sense of having the Uisge Beatha if you aren't going to share it ...........Slàinté Mhath!

Jura Supersition - a small bottle I picked up while in Scotland earlier this year. Terry, I’m very jealous! What a beautiful old clock in your photos; and I wish I had friends and family around that also enjoyed a good single malt.

Thank-you
Thanx my friend, It was my wife's grandmother's ......in it's day it was nothing special just a poor family's treasure.....We had it repaired when we first got it and were told a bit about it, that being "nothing special" and "quite common at it's time, (C 1900)"..... It sits on a cabinet that stores my single malts of which I have near 30 different ones and Islay whiskies are my favourite........most of my friends that like single malts are all from away, so they last a fair bit longer than they would usually, heh! heh!

You can special order a case (6 bottles) of Old Pulteney 12 from ABC stores in NC. The cost is around $44 per bottle. If you drive to Frugal MacDoogal in SC, the cash price is $39.99 per bottle, and you can buy it right off the shelf.
