    It sounds like the event meets the old "after six" criterion for evening wear, so your black jacket and tie with furry sporran would be appropriate based on that. But you are definitely right to consult the happy couple.

    I'm guessing that being kilted, you will be among the best-dressed there, whatever accessories you choose.

    I would say the PC would be too much, just as if you were to wear a tux to this event, it would be too much. I think your proposed outfit is spot on!
