Or it could be viscose-acetate, which sellers often label as polyviscose...most likely in the hopes that vaguely-informed customers won't know the difference. I bought a billie kilt from Tartanista that actually said it was viscose-acetate in the listing, and it had the exact same feel as my own "polyviscose" tartan utility kilts from UT. While it is a bit harder-wearing and (arguably) nicer than acrylic, it still doesn't compare to Marton Mills' PV.

Thanks for the info sir! I was not aware of an alternative "polyviscose. I took Martin Mills polyviscose to be the only fabric being offered under that name. In that case, it could be polyviscose, just not the nice type.

One day I'll have the cash and order a USA kilt.
You can get that tartan from USAKilts in their semi-trad model. It is PV with buckles and no velcro. I bought one last year from them and love it.

Not the same color or pattern...though I am buying a Tara muted from USA Kilts soon. Looking forward to getting it!
