No real adventure, lovely bright day, but cool enough in the morning to allow a kilted half day at work and an excuse to take my new sporran for a spin, waistcoat worn because I find a belt uncomfortable when seated and not yet ready to go belt and waistcoat free, I know it's acceptable, just not there yet.

The little internal strap Margaret Morrisons fitted for my phone works perfectly, keeps it in place and easily accessible.

P.S. You're not drunk, nor am I standing on a significant slope camera was a little off vertical

I agree. It is acceptable, apparently, to some. For me, it just never looks right. Not necessarily wrong, just "I got sidetracked getting dressed and out the door. Please bear with me while I go back to the house for my belt. Or waistcoat.". But what do I know? More importantly, I realize at this point no one asked me. It's just how I feel when I realize out and about I have neither on me.

On a happier note, really nice sporran! I know it will bring you great pleasure for a long time. Enjoy.

Thank you. It's the Carolina tartan, in a 4 yard box pleat sewn by Matt Newsome.

Wearing the Carolina tartan again today, you can't beat a 4 yard box pleated kilt in the heat.

Our weather has gone from the monsoons to a heat wave. So, I would reply to McMurdo's earlier post; yes I can beat a 4 yarder box pleat; a USA Kilts casual. This kilt's tartan is often mistaken for the Carolina but it a much older one; the Caledonia. A polo shirt, cotton hose without garters & sgian dubh just made it so much cooler to persevere the heat. The sun helmet just topped off the effort providing cool shade for my noggin.

After work I went to a local grocery store and had the this lady's son take our photo. Sweet! In the store, as I was reaching for some strawberries, a gal tapped my thigh and said nice kilt! Thank goodness she didn't squeeze the melons.
