I’m sure more learned members will be able to tell you if the style/cut is correct for kilt wear... I have no idea.

There are plenty of links on the internet for better tailoring instructions and many local libraries have good reference books as well.

Mainelymenswear popped up here in the forum a year or two ago for help making his kilt.

He has some Fantastic information, pictures, tutorials and links/resources for Jacket making on his blog, you just need to search and read back.
