    Kilts at Human League Gig?

    Hi Folks!

Last night I went to see The Human League gig, here at the Victoria Hall, in Stoke-on-Trent (UK) ..... I almost decided to wear my Kilt, but as it was a bit damp weather-wise, and I was uncertain where I was going to be sitting, and type of seat etc, I decided to wear a pair of 'adventure trousers' (Pants) which were quite lightweight and comfy-ish!....

The Support played, then the Intermission came... I headed for the bar, and soon after noticed a bloke wearing what I think was a dark brown Utilikilt and brown leather jacket!... The bloke was quite tall and thin, had dark (blackish) hair in a pony-tail, and a really beautiful brown-haired lady in a Little Black Dress..... I dashed down the stairs to the floor below (2 floors below actually) but both had vanished into the crowd!... and never spotted again!

If this was you, please send me a message or email! I really would like to discuss the gig, and maybe have a pint or two! Was it a Utilikilt.... Looked a bit like the one Hammish was wearing at the 'Stoke Gathering'

It's been a while since I last posted here, and sad to say that I still have problems logging in at times (Thanks again Hank for sorting things out a while back!).... I do check it out from time to time, as I do at Tom's Café, but life has been very hectic these past few months, with health concerns (Hospital appts, etc) for both my Mum and myself, my job is still chaotic and seems to be getting worse, and the local Council is planning to demolish where I live so we have to go through the stress of moving home from where we've lived for nearly 40 years, assuming that we can afford a new house!..... Life often Stinks!.... Only 'the Fat Cats' get Fatter!!!

You made yourself scarce. I nearly forgot You are a member in this forum. Nice to meet You.

I was not the bloke You mentioned* even if my wife is a beautiful brown-haired lady. ;)

I'm living too far away from Stoke-on-Trent. But the name sounds good. What's the meaning of it?

That's galling beeing pushed around by political interests, witch are in most cases financial interests. Not the financial interests of the common people, in deed. Sorry You had and have those problems.

    * Anyway, I think of myself as a gent.

    Stoke et al...

    Hi Wolfgang, et al....

I've got a friend also called 'Wolfgang' (from Austria, but has been resident here in UK for about 15 years or more!)

I've not checked the Pics to see if you are there, but you sound cool - So does your lady with Brown hair!...

Stoke-on-Trent is the home of 'The Potteries' (althogh a declining Industry!) and where many pottery that is famous comes from... Royal Doulton, Spode, etc...

We are roughly half way between Manchester and Birmingham... then go a few miles to the East!

Had a few German friends & Austrian friend... Do have some limited translation abillity, or at least I can order a Beer!

    Regards,

    Ingy

David, thanks for pointing out that The Human League is a band. I assumed Ingy had been attending a local branch meeting of some obscure environmental, or Green, group. My apologies: I'd never heard of The Human League, until now!
