Flying to or from Scotland? Oops?
Interesting. Edinburgh didn't do too well on this report.

I'm not going to click 'next' enough times to read that article; why would they even think that's a good way to present information? (I know, I know, it's so they get more "ad impressions"... well I don't agree to the terms of using that site.)
I've not had any issues with Edinburgh airport in particular. The routes it serves tend to be the sort that turn planes around and go back the other way near-immediately, so many suffer from routine knock-on delays: but those delays exist at the other end, too.
It's easy to get from the airport to the city; both the Airlink 100 bus and the tram connect. (I still use the bus when I fly, as it gets 300m closer to the hotel I use.)
The BA business class lounge is nice; nothing special, but was re-done 2-3 years ago.

So sorry you didn't like my link. I thought it might raise some positive interest, since Edinburgh is so close to the beginning.

I live just 65 miles from Edinburgh Airport and have used it occasionally, but I much prefer going the other way, into England, and using Newcastle Airport which is slightly nearer at 53 miles.
I would agree that Edinburgh Airport is horrible, but in its defence I should say it has been a victim of its own success. Geographically, Edinburgh Airport is more convenient for the main centres of population in the Scottish Lowlands, compared to Glasgow Airport. Edinburgh Airport is around ten miles west of the city, in the same direction out from the city centre as Glasgow, and therefore only around thirty five miles from Glasgow city centre, shorter for a Glaswegian than travelling all the way to central Edinburgh. Glasgow Airport is also around ten miles west of the city which it serves, but this means that coming from Edinburgh you have to pass Glasgow city centre to reach it and it would be a journey of around fifty five miles. So most of the lowland Scots tend to find Edinburgh Airport more conveniently situated than Glasgow Airport. Plus Edinburgh has gained a reputation as a tourist destination for visitors from all over the world, though personally I can never understand why as in my opinion Glasgow is a much nicer city. So the airlines have always found there was more of a market for services from and to Edinburgh compared to Glasgow. Edinburgh was for many years constrained by having too short a runway, and which was at right angles to the prevailing wind, but since the new runway opened this inhibition suddenly disappeared and there has been a rapid increase in the number of available destinations to and from Edinburgh, with many new routes, and a few airlines moving their operations from Glasgow to Edinburgh. Indeed in recent years Edinburgh Airport has overtaken Glasgow Airport as Scotland's busiest airport. So it has been a constant building site, with ongoing need for terminal expansion, additional parking, larger stands to accommodate the biggest modern jet airliners etc. A lot of money has been invested in developing Edinburgh Airport and given time I think it will settle down to provide a better arrival and departure experience.

A very selective review, I prefer Edinburgh to Heathrow or Gatwick, and any european Airport (including the UK) is better than any airport in Saudi which they obviously haven't been to...

Edinburgh Airport is OK. Not especially nice, not particulary bad and trams outside every few minutes bring you to Princes Street. Spent a lot of time queuing for flights to Belfast from Gates 1A and 18.
Good whisky shop and plenty of samples
