Salado (Texas) Highland Games and Gathering November 9-11

Fall is in the air in central Texas and that means it is time for the Salado Highland Games. If you haven't been to Salado, TX you need to come. It is a quaint little tourist town between Austin and Waco, but the 2nd weekend in November it turns into Scotland. I'll be there manning the Clan Keith tent (at least I think I put in my reservation, if not I'll be around). See you there!

I'll be there. I won't be hosting the Clan Scott tent this year but helping out. Hope its cool but dry!

I and my lady friend will be there. It's her first Scottish event as she is of Italian heritage. She's looking forward to it, almost more than I.

We never know what November in Texas will bring. Sometime sunny and 80 degrees, sometimes rainy and 40. Once it was 60 degrees with 30 mph winds. I spent the whole weekend holding the tent down.

Amen to that. I've been tracking the forecasts for several days now, and here's the latest:

If that actually turns out to be the case, I'd be quite pleased.
