    Can you post a photo of something similar to what you have seen that gave you the idea.

    I can't really envision what you are describing.
    Unless you mean something like this horde symbol that I embroidered on an apron for a customer.



    Embroidery is pretty easy to do. It is not having to sew two things together for strength. It is just decoration.

    Embroidery on the apron has a long historical association with kilts. This one on a military kilt is totally hand stitched and is over 12" long.



    depending on your skill and patience you can stay simple like the horde symbol above or pretty fancy and detailed.
