Our local Scottish Society has marched in the Springfield St. Patrick's Day parade for a number of years; in fact, we usually provide the colour party at the head of the parade. When folks ask us why we're marching, we'll usually explain that the Scots came from Ireland originally, that we "share" St. Columba, and that St. Patrick was not "Irish", but was a Romano-Briton from either Wales or Dumbartonshire in Scotland! :mrgreen:

Still, I'm wi' you: I would love to have an Irish tartan or a Saffron kilt to wear. I also like the Irish Caubeens and the green Irish day jackets.
