Where does one find a "more casual" jacket that will fit a kilt?

I meant a tweed type jacket, less formal and more versatile.

Thanks for the pics Steve. To my small-town, mountain-grown bumpkin point of view, any kind of blazer/sport coat/jacket like that looks "dressy" and at least "semi-formal". Definitely not something I'd consider "casual" wear. Looks like I need to refine my tastes and views.

That's modern day America. The idea that someone might wear a tie while wingshooting or fishing is normal for me, but outdated by centuries for most....

Ex-hire jackets ... and more casual than tweed
Thanks for the suggestions regarding ex-hire jackets. My wife took my measurements last night, and it appears that I'm a size that's fairly easy to find in ex-hire (40R). I've fired off emails to four vendors to find out their return policies and what the shoulder measurements are on their jackets. (I used to have to get all of my jackets tailored in the shoulders. Hopefully I'm more off-the-rack now.)

If you're looking for something even more casual, I'd experiment with one of the suggestions made by the guys at USA kilts. Coats and jackets that end at the waist (for example, bomber jackets) tend to look better with a kilt than longer jackets.

If anyone wants it, I have the pattern for a Belgian Chef's jacket. Mine was made in black with red lining.

I do have a leather jacket that ends at the waist (sleeves are longer) that I wear often with my kilt, but not in summer.

Ex Hire quality barathea
Kilts4Less (the subject of another recent thread) currently have ex hire 100%barathea jacket and waistcoats for £99 (not sure of the $ equivalent), but you will also benefit from around 20% additional off as you are an overseas shopper. I bought one a while ago, and to be honest it was as new! Be quick though, I believe this is an additional sale price (normally £199) which ends Sunday. Oh and they do returns/exchanges!
