Montréal en kilt.
A friend of my wife was visting us for the weekend and we decided to drive down to Montréal Saturday afternoon.
The intesting thing is that in the largest French speaking city outside Paris, I was always addressed in English. Very unusual for Montréal.
Kilt=Anglophone.
(Do speak French.)

Interesting. When I'm in Eastern Canada, many people assume I'm Hatian and start speaking French! I do speak some French and, apparently, SOUND like I speak much more than I do. Go figure. Looking forward to my first trip to Canada kilted - though we always go out west. Better get something nice and warm for Christmas in Alberta, eh?

The first time I ever saw somebody wearing a kilt casually was in Montreal, and he was most definitely a francophone.
and Jazzkiltz, where in Alberta are you coming to?

Calgary (well, Sylvan actually) with a side trip to Vancouver for some gigs at a new club there!

Are in you in the area to play a gig, or just visiting? When/where? Maybe a Calgary kilt night is in order! There's a pub in town called the Kilt & Caber that would be ideal.

Good point, Dylan. Maybe a coffee shop would be better.

Visiting. My wife and daughter are Calgarians and we spend most Christmases there. She's from SW Calgary. Dec. 20-21-22 might be good, then we're off to Sylvan. I like the coffeshop idea just cuz I don't really drink much and our younger friends could attend (Call ME ancient will ya! Whippersnapper! ) But the pub is fine, too!
