Let Eric know, if he's going to climb Arthur's Seat, take the time to hike along the Salisbury Crags. The view from the crags was slightly better (though in a different direction).

And don't be deceived. While it looks (from Edinburgh) like it's a small climb up from the Salisbury Crags to Arthur's Seat ... he'll actually have to hike all the way down and back up again.
