    Happy Wife; Happy Life

    As the subject says:
    Happy Wife;
    Happy Life.
    I also like the change it up after the photos suggestion. Most of the women will change for the reception anyway, and men will doff their jackets.
    Oh, and you could secretly wear brown underwear!

    As a piper who used to regularly play for weddings, and still does the occasional one (I did one last weekend) I have always been sensitive to the wedding-colours.

    I always ask, and do my best to match or at least not clash.

    Back years ago I wore a quite restrained outfit for wedding piping, a black Argyll or Prince Charlie and Black Watch kilt, which didn't seem to bother anyone.

    Nowadays I wear Isle Of Skye which likewise always goes over well.

    I can wear whatever I want at other times, but when I'm being paid it behooves me to please.

    Perhaps I'm missing the issue here. What I see is a wife-blessed opportunity to expand your kilt wardrobe. New day or semi- dress sporran? New kilt socks? New flashes? Express your individuality or please the wife? It seems an easy choice. Unless you've got a really comfortable couch.
    I used a wedding to add an 8 yard wool to the collection rather than use my first kilt- a black utility kilt. I was the best man but my wife insisted I get a better kilt. I protested feebly.
