Yes, let's! How about 1:30 at the gazebo? Assuming the parade and post-parade ceremonies are over by then...

Looks like 45 degrees for Saturday morning (no rain). For us borders clans - Clan Scott will have a heater - too early for whisky

Too early for whisky? That phrase does not compute!

How quickly will the ground dry out?
It looks like the rain has stopped in Salado. How muddy should we expect the ground to be tomorrow? (I plan to bring hiking boots along just to be safe.)
Does anyone with prior experience know what we should generally expect?

I'm not sure how much rain they got there, but in past years when it had rained before the Games, the ground was soft but not a mud-fest. There is pretty decent grass at the venue in most places. I'm sure there will be some muddy spots, and the foot traffic may contribute to more. But I wouldn't expect to be sloshing through mud.
Be advised that parking is terrible there. You may have to park several blocks away somewhere else in town, or on the back street behind the civic center. But it fills up quickly and it's tough to get a decent spot. Last year, they actually had golf carts driving around town looking for people in kilts to give them rides to the civic center, which was nice.

Everything was dry when setting up the tent on Friday. If it rains there are areas that will need to be avoided, but generally it looms like it will be good weather for the weekend.

Tartar diner and candle holders
We were informed that although the small glass candle holders may have looked like a shot glass - THEY WERE NOT. Complementary “real” glasses were provided. Great hosts and event.
