Sporran help needed !

My 8 year old son wants a sporran to wear for New Years. Would the pattern in Thompson's book work if made to 1/2 scale? I have some leather around the house and Aubrey wants one just like Dad's .

Any ideas would be apprciated.

It shouldn't be a problem to do as you have said. Maybe half the original size would be too small.

Make a Cardboard model first (we used a cornflkes packet and some binliner) and see. Thats the way Sten Rune and I work on a sporran pattern to get a better idea of what it will look like and If there will be anything that is not described in the book.
