    71st Regiment of Foot didn't lose Highland status and definitely kept their pipers after 1809. 73rd and 75th officially lost the Highland status and pipers.

    My question was very specific. About the pleating of the pre RRS kilts.

    As this thread has veered quite a bit off the original topic and my question is still unanswered I am closing this thread.
