Springtime in Texas...
For several years, I posted an annual photo of our daughter, Molly Kate, in the bluebonnets, then neglected to do so for some time. I thought I'd renew the tradition this year. (Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas, and tend to bloom in late March or early April, depending upon the weather. Some years are sparse, and sometimes you'll find fields of bluebonnets as far as you can see... You never know what you'll get!) Many in Texas make an effort to capture images of loved ones in the flowers each year.
I was convinced that the big freeze and snowstorm we experienced recently would eliminate any chance of bluebonnets this year, but I'm thankful to say I was wrong!
Over Easter weekend, we traveled to the Dallas area, and happened upon some dense fields just outside of Corsicana. So here's our girl in the flowers (she's growing up!):
