Was held last weekend in Anderson California. My son was invited to compete and I was invited to shoot the events. The venue and weather really gave me fits especially since I haven't shot a big (or little) event in over a year. While not technically a Highlands game many of the events were from the games and kilts were for the most part required. Me getting ready for the banquet The competitors First event stone lift (Men 260 pounds sorry don't know womens) The smallest competitor MY son The overall champion Kelly Garrison The next event was stone throw

One deadlift, one farmers carry lift and then as many reps as possible on the apparatus deadlift. Again I'm sorry I don't know the women's weight Men's 675 dead, 340 farmers pick Sometimes the life of a judge or photographer can be dangerous. We about got pucked on The Fingal Fingers
Womens over bar/mens to height The men had a 6 foot pillar for the first stone. 225pounds A really strong guy but a 6 foot platform really took it out of a shorter guy
Looks like a large time!
