    Thanks for the pics McMurdo and Tomo! In my case, having the option to look at pictures of kilts, as opposed to tartan pictures or even a swatches, is really useful to better appreciate the overall effect of the pattern and colours. Lots of great ancient and weathered kilts out there!

    MacLean of Duart Weathered has long been a popular tartan for pipe bands, probably due to it having been worn by several-time champion Shotts & Dykehead for many years.



    Here you can see how the kilts are pleated. (The tartan looks too orange in this photo, the photo above shows the colours more accurately.)




    Drummond of Perth Muted (House of Edgar) is worn by The Los Angeles Scottish and at least one other band.
