For pipes, consider a Peterson lip (check on Amazon). They have the hole on the top of the mouthpiece so you don't burn your tongue so much. Also look hard at a meerschaum. Royal Meerschaum https://www.royalmeerschaumpipes.com/ has some really nice ones at reasonable prices, and while they require a gentler standard of care, they smoke very smoothly and pleasurably. You could get one of each and rotate for a really great and gentle experience.

When I have the time, I currently smoke Olive Serie V Melanio in the petite corona size. A very good Nicaraguan cigar.

Sorry to say, no smoking here anymore. This due to astma.
But i loved McConnell Scottish Blend, and a good Havanna cigar like a Cohiba, once or twice a Year.

Now, all my 24 pipes, are in their boxes. Stanwell, Orlik, BBB, Savinelli, Dunhill, and a couple of hand made ones.
Oh and of course a Calabash...

You surely make me miss them quiet hours! - Do one for me, wont you?

I've been buying Estate pipes off ebay, and cleaning and sanitizing them. I'm an aromatic smoker, my favorite is Sutliff Vanilla Custard. I also enjoy the cherry blends like Blood Red Moon. I also have a number of blends from Cult tobacco. I think I've only purchased 3 new pipes of the 15 I have.

I used to smoke a pipe fairly regularly but I'm down to a few times a year now. I used to love McClelland's. My current go-tos are Uhle's "Black Stoker" or "Hunt Club Blend". I have a Peterson 003, which I LOVE for Black Stoker. I smoke the Hunt Club Blend in a Bjarne curchwarden billiard. So satisfying!

My collection as of this date:

The churchwarden's pipe is applewood - an interesting smoke. The large wooden pipe is a Harcourt, and like the meerschaum was a gift from my wonderful wife. The others are mostly Peterson with the Peterson lip and one Brigham that I rather liked.

I enjoy having a texture in my hand when I'm handling my pipes.

I have a tin of Blood Red Moon that my in-laws bought me a few Christmases ago. I ought to open it this Christmas!

I used to smoke Erinmore in my pipe particularly when I was fishing. There was an added bonus that the smoke helped keep some of the midges away. Sadly, two bouts of Lymes Disease changed my sense of taste and now I no longer smoke. Do I miss it? Sometimes.

I have an unopened tin of Erinmore flake, still. I did enjoy it but for some reason, never came back to it after my first tin ran out, unlike the McClelland blends.
