Good catch, but a 'correction' slightly off-topic: most distilleries in Scotland remain controlled by UK interests, although the American, French and Japanese multi-national corporations are having a large play in today's merger market. Diageo is the biggest of these -- and it's French-based. Some involve themselves in product market-change, but most do not. For example, Tomatin is now owned by a Japanese MN which has absolutely no involvement in the distillery operation and, if anything, are encouraging local loyalty and employment.
