    I thought of this thread yesterday, when I drove to a cemetery to pipe at a funeral.

    I got there well before everyone else, to "get some air in the pipes" and let the them acclimate.

    It dawned on me that I had arrived in a "casual kilt outfit" in shirtsleeves, rolled up sleeves, with a bucket hat and sunglasses due to the strong sun.

    The bucket hat and sunglasses came off, the sleeves got rolled down, the kilt jacket and bonnet went on, and voila I was in smart traditional attire to begin piping.
