I've had three custom tweed hats made by CherryPatHats on Etsy.

She's super to work with. I had a quite specific style in mind, one she had never made, and without hesitation she created the pattern and made the hats.

In my case I sent her a couple vintage heavy Harris Tweed sportcoats which she "upcycled" into the hats. Old Harris Tweed jackets in tiny sizes, and sometimes with a bit of mothing here or there, can go quite cheaply on Ebay and are the least-expensive source of top quality tweed I've found. A nice touch was removing the jacket's Orb label and sewing it into the lining of the hat, just as it would have been done if the hat had originally been made from that length of tweed decades ago.

She gave me a substantial discount on the hats due to me providing the fabric.

I'm sure if you provided the tartan she could make whatever style of hat you would like.
