    Kilted Easter Adventures

It happened on Sunday, not Friday but it was an interesting day for me. I wore my first ever kilt jacket, wore garter ties for the first time, and went on my first kilted dog walk. Macgregor and Mcduff ex-hire black argyle jacket from eBay bought on the recommendation of OCRichard. HoC garter ties, not very well tied. I will have to try a new knot technique. Ralph Lauren shoes with gray hose. Later changed into a Gaelic t-shirt to walk the dog. If the neighbors didn't think I was strange before, they do now.

I had to kilt up for the Seattle Sounders CONCACAF Champion's League final tonight. They are now the first American team to win the competition. It was a good day. Since today was also Star Wars day I had to wear an appropriate kilt pin. It's held on by a magnet, so you could say it Klingons to the kilt.

So Friday wasn't a kilted adventure for me, but did feature fine Scottish accessories. I had to be out running errands in heavy thunderstorms and high winds so gave my Inverness rain cape its first real test (found a deal on eBay too good to resist). While I got the occasional odd look in the cape with a wide-brim hat I was bone dry even with all the blowing wind and torrential rain. A fine addition to the closet!

First outing of the new sporran and first time rocking the scrunched hose. No real adventures but I did go out for lunch to a Mexican restaurant and dinner at a pub. Spent much of the rest of the day studying Gaelic and trying to get my head around the joy that is javascript.
